There are now several firearm related courses available through P&D. Sign up for one of these courses now and learn a new skill, meet like minded people and help promote the shooting sports. Non Restricted Courses are a 1 Day Course, Restricted Courses are a 1 Day Course.

Please be advised that the Cost for the Restricted course & Non Restricted PAL course will be $100.00 each, $35.00 if you would just like to purchase the book. All pricing is subject to GST. Please note payment is non-refundable, should you need to change to a different date, you have 90 days and a $25.00 transfer fee will be applied.

Courses run on a month to month basis. They are usually held on Saturdays with the odd class being held during the week. Courses are held here at P&D. They run from 8:00am to approximately 5:30pm. Classes are restricted to 20 students and fill up fast. Payment is required upfront to secure a seat.


CANADIAN NON-RESTRICTED FIREARMS SAFETY COURSE

This course will enable you to acquire a Possession and Acquisition firearms license so you may legally own, purchase and transport non-restricted firearms. This is the first step needed to enjoy hunting, target and other related shooting sports.

BASIC RELOADING COURSE

This is an introductory, one day course for those who wish to learn about ammunition construction and function. It outlines the basic tools, practices, components, minimum cost and how to safely reload ammunition. All students will be given the opportunity to construct live ammunition on a single stage press. Maximum 6 students per course.

BASIC OPTICS COURSE

This course is designed for beginner shooters who want to gain more knowledge about optics, their features and mounting procedures. There are hundreds of optics brands and hundreds of different models and varieties within each brand. This can make selecting optics quite daunting for a new shooter. This course will aid students in understanding technical questions such as parallax, objective lens size, tube size, various reticles, differences in glass quality, as well as various other features. Students will aslo learn how to sight in their rifle. Maximum 20 students per course.

BASIC DISASTER PREPAREDNESS COURSE

We live in a world where catastrophes can happen every day. From international terrorism to a simple car accident. This course will help students deal with the stresses and potential risks. Students will learn the basics required to get through everything from a camping trip gone wrong to surviving a major catastrophe. Topics covered include but are not limited to: Survival mindset, bugout/survival kits, strategic area risk assessment and more. Maximum 20 students per course.
